Canon Clean Earth Crew Supports Restoration Efforts and Community Enhancement Projects at Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown, N.Y.

MELVILLE, N.Y., May 21, 2015 - Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, celebrated the Company's Clean Earth Crew Campaign at Blydenburgh County Park in Smithtown, N.Y. A total of 117 Canon employees and executives, family members and friends volunteered to revamp the park in preparation for the busy summer season. Participants worked on several locations throughout the park and beautified the areas by raking, putting down mulch, planting flowers and donating painting supplies for use in future enhancements.

"The annual Clean Earth Crew event is an opportunity for Canon employees to give back to the community by improving and protecting Long Island's natural environment," said Kotaro Fukushima, senior director and general manager, Corporate Communications Division, Canon U.S.A. "Despite the rain, we had an impressive turnout of volunteers, which displayed the commitment and spirit of the Canon employees to assist Blydenburgh County Park and the Long Island community."

The Clean Earth Crew initiative is a testament to Canon's corporate philosophy of Kyosei, "all people, regardless of race, religion, or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future." Canon's dedication to Kyosei symbolizes the Company's commitment to protect and preserve the natural resources of our environment and the communities we work in. Since the inception of the Clean Earth Crew in 1996, Canon U.S.A. employees have volunteered thousands of hours to help maintain and preserve some of Long Island's most beautiful parks and beaches.
