Gentle Giants

Cubby Graham

This is my second trip to Iceland, but my first visit to Jökulsárlón. I’d heard it was beautiful, but WOW. Early one evening, we hopped on a Zodiac boat tour through the towering scenery of the lagoon. As we floated by icebergs that had recently broken away from the glacier, I was struck by the brilliant blues and ever-changing beauty of these unique gentle giants.

They’re constantly turning and transforming the landscape. Slowly drifting into the ocean to start all over again. What a privilege it is to call this planet home.
