My partner and I own a little van which we use as a base. It truly revolutionized all of our adventures to be able to park anywhere and make it our home.
I wake up ready for a new quest. Nature does most of the work for me when I’m out shooting, but I feel my job is to capture a story with my camera and transform it in the most real way possible.
This story was something I’ve had in mind for some time. It has always been a revolutionary idea to me to be high up in the snow-capped mountains then down in the ocean on the same day, exploring and having fun with what the earth has provided us.
New Zealand is just the right place to do that.
Katie Goldie has spent most of her life near the Rocky Mountains of North America. She always had an interest in the outdoors and the arts; combining the two passions came naturally to her.
She took up photography a few years ago when she started to get into hiking. She met a few photographers through social media who taught her about cameras and compositions. As their friendships grew, so did her skills. She recently took a leave of absence to pursue photography full time.
You can often find her climbing mountains and camping out – not only to get a great shot, but because she is fanatical about the outdoors. Her main purpose in life is to inspire others. She is currently doing that by showing individuals the world and all the opportunities it has to offer. She thinks that no one should ever settle in life until they truly find their purpose and passion.
