Device Security and Authentication
Canon offers various protocols and applications, either resident on the MFP, or available as options that can assist IT with security features related to the output devices in their fleet and help limit access to the devices to authorized employees.
Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices contain a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) in order to perform normal operations. The device’s HDD may include information like address book data, user authentication information, as well as documents that are stored on the HDD through features like Mail Box and Advanced Box. Canon offers both standard and optional solutions to help limit access to information stored on the hard drive while the device is in use, as well as at the end of device life.
Document Security refers to the various methods and tools customers have when using Canon hardware to help secure documents and limit access and distribution to authorized personnel.
