EOS D30

Features

The EOS D30 introduced the CMOS sensor developed by none other than Canon. Get a better picture with more definition, 3.11 million pixels to be exact. We've improved upon the previous CCD imaging elements by implementing a CMOS sensor that delivers high-quality images without eating up your battery supply. We've even established a 2:3 aspect ratio just like the pros use. Get professional pictures even if you're not a professional.

The D30 uses all EF Lenses without restrictions or limitations. That's over forty current lenses and nearly 100 since the series began in 1987! Enhance your collection of lenses, because each lens tells a different story.

Use many EOS series attachments such as EX Series Speedlites and N3-series remote control accessories without modification to enhance its performance. Or, even better, check out the new battery grip ? l-shaped for easy handling and equipped for 2 batteries.

Featuring high precision E-TTL Retractable Autoflash, the built-in flash will "illuminate" your life. No more worries about backlighting and deep, dark shadows. The E-TTL metering system is linked to focusing points, so your subject will always get the correct exposure even when it's off-center. Or if you prefer, adjust the flash yourself in a creative zone. It's what we consider one of our "brightest" ideas.

The EOS D30 supports USB and NTSC/PAL Video Out for instant access to your digital images. The faster you can download, the faster that you can begin to manipulate your images, shaping them the way you want them to look. USB stands for Universal Serial Bus, a standard that supports data transfer rates of up to 12Mbps, and is also appealing because of it's plug and play usability. The NTSC/PAL Video Out option allows you to view your images on a TV and other audio/visual devices.

Mix and match! Let's be real - some pictures are more important than others. Save your best pictures in a fine setting or pack more pictures onto a compact flash card in a normal setting. You'll never have to run to the photolab, and the CF Cards will never take up much space in your bag.

Big things come in small packages. The Canon EOS D30 is one of the world's smallest, lightest compact bodies in its class. It's got beauty and brains: outside, a varnished, sleek digital eye candy, inside, the latest technology in digital cameras. The D30 may have a broader range of functions, but we still retained its ease of handling. Your shots will look good when you shoot, and you'll look good shooting them.

Continuous shooting means that you'll always be ready for the next shot, even when the action gets fast and furious. The EOS D30 supports continuous shooting up to 8 consecutive frames in Large/Fine mode at a rate of approximately 3 frames per second. Switch to Large/Normal mode or one of the Small resolution settings to more than double the maximum number of consecutive frames.

In this case, too much is never enough. That's why we give you more than you'll need. The EOS D30 uses a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack. Attach the optional BG-ED3 battery grip, and now you've got enough room for two battery packs. Ready for more? Jack into an AC power source with the Compact Power Adapter CA-PS400 and DC coupler DR-400. Both of these accessories are supplied in the EOS D30 Standard Kit.

You're viewing pictures or operating the menu, then all of a sudden, there's a breakaway bid toward the goal. Simply press the shutter halfway down and fire away because you are instantly in shooting mode.
