This projector projects bright 5000 lumen*1 images with up to a 3750:1 contrast ratio that helps ensure deep blacks, bright whites and rich color.

Canon's WXGA resolution brings bright, true widescreen display of intricately detailed HD video content and still images with outstanding color richness to large-room installations in high resolution WXGA (1280 x 800) at a competitive price. Content is projected without compression. Widescreen graphics, text and other visual content from laptops and desktop computers are shown in accurate proportions, just as it appears on most monitor screens.

WXGA Resolution

This projector utilizes Single-chip Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology, which is a widely utilized projection technology that creates natural and lifelike images. The DLP technology utilizes a 6-segment color wheel along with a reflective Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) to produce video and images with color and high brightness. The resulting high-resolution video and images maintain the details inherent in what you are showing.

The LX-MW500 has a throw ratio of 1.12 - 1.80:1, and a slight vertical Lens shift of 52.5% - 55% -- making it possible to adjust the image without digital distortion. The 4-Point Keystone function makes it possible to adjust the image corners independently to offer additional flexibility while keeping the image in focus. Traditional keystone provides ±30° vertical and horizontal adjustment.

4-point Keystone Correction
Allows the corners of the image to be independently adjusted to help ensure optimal image reproduction.

This projector is relatively compact at a height of 4.8 inches, width of 18.3 inches, depth of 10.3” and weight of 11.9 pounds, it’s small and light enough to fit in a variety of spaces. Installation options include ceiling, table or rear projection.

Connections include two HDMI inputs (one HDMI supports MHL) as well as a built-in HDBaseT receiver for transmitting video, audio and control over one single Ethernet cable. Network management options for the LX-MU500 include Crestron Connect, AMX Device Discovery, and PJLink.

HDBaseT** allows uncompressed HD video, audio and control signals to be transmitted over one single Ethernet cable with a maximum distance of 328 feet (100m). Please speak with a sales represented for full HDBaseT compatible devices.

Network management options for the LX-MW500 include Crestron Connect, AMX Device Discovery, and PJLink.

This projector offers a DICOM Simulation Mode to simulate the results of devices compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function for display of grayscale images. The DICOM Simulation Mode adjusts the gradation between the minimum and the maximum luminance so gradation is distributed optimally. This feature is optimized for displaying medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans and MRIs, which makes this projector ideal for non-diagnostic purposes such as lectures, academic meetings and in-hospital conferences. This feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only.

Blue-baseDICOMM Simulation Mode

The design of the LX-MW500 allows for simplified maintenance - air filters and the projection lamp can be replaced while the projector remains ceiling mounted without having to uninstall. The replacement interval on the projection lamp is 2,000 hours in Standard mode and 2,500 hours in Eco mode.

The LX-MW500 is capable of projecting 3D content via the DLP-Link Content Projection System. To project and view 3D materials a 3D Blu-ray player and DLP-Link 3D glasses are required.
A 10W speaker built-into the LX-MW500 makes it easy to add sound to presentations and displays in a range of smaller environments without the need to add additional speakers and sound equipment, or connect to an already-present sound system.
