Support LV Projectors

Features
Today, the demand for wide screen display applications could not be greater. The WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution of the LV-8227A delivers clear, sharp video, diagrams and text in a native 16:10 aspect ratio, without modification or distortion. Compared to standard XGA resolution projectors, the LV-8227A offers a larger display range capable of projecting data produced on many widescreen laptops just as it appears on the source.

Ideal for business and education where programs may be heavy in text and graphics, the outstanding 3000:1 contrast ratio of the LV-8227A delivers crisp blacks, with excellent depth and dimension across a wide variety of lighting conditions. Adding to the versatility in performance is the 2500 Lumens of the LV-8227A. From total darkness through a range of moderate ambient light levels, more meeting rooms, offices and classrooms will become ideal venues for your presentations. Add to that a lamp life of up to 6,000 hours in Eco Mode and you know why the LV-8227A is such a compelling choice.

The 1.2x Optical Zoom lens of the LV-8227A allows you to have more choice over where you place the projector in your venue. You will also enjoy the choice of a wide range of screen sizes on which to show your presentation, further tailoring your presentation to the room and making it more immediate for your audience. The lens of the LV-8227A has a very useful range in projection distance coverage, from 3.94 feet to 36.42 feet (screen sizes 40" to 300"). It gives you the flexibility you'll want to have in using this projector in smaller to moderately large spaces.

The range of input and output terminals with which the LV-8227A is equipped makes it a versatile partner of a wide variety of network and other external sources. HDMI Input
The HDMI input on the LV-8227A allows you to connect the projector directly to a high-definition input source, including satellite or digital cable boxes and Blu-ray players, to project uncompressed video images and deliver true 1080p high-definition. Network-ready RJ-45 Port
To maximize the usability of the LV-8227A, the built-in RJ-45 port enables centralized control and monitoring from a networked PC. This makes it simple for an A/V team to operate ceiling mounted installed projectors from a remote PC, allowing fewer personnel to cover a larger service area. RS-232C Serial Port
A third-party system can be used to control the LV-8227A through the built-in RS-232C Serial Port. Video Input
The LV-8227A has a composite video input for high-definition video projection. Multiple Audio Inputs & Output
Two audio Mini-Jack stereo inputs and one output are found on the LV-8227A for relaying audio through external speakers. This provides the flexibility needed to play audio from a linked DVD or PC source. A microphone input also gives the user the ability to narrate a presentation making use of the LV-8227A's built-in 10W speaker.

The high performance of the LV-8227A is matched with impressive durability in use and simplified maintenance. While delivering more, it costs you less in time and maintenance. Longer Lamp Life
With up to 4,000 hours lamp life in Normal Mode and 6,000 hours in Eco Mode possible, maintenance is reduced and operating costs are lowered. Longer Air Filter Life
The high performance three layer hybrid filters of the LV-8227A can last up to 5,500 hours in Eco Mode. Since they consist of perforated metal, urethane and metal mesh, anti-dust performance is greatly improved and filter life is dramatically lengthened over that of single layer electrostatic filters. This offers significantly reduced maintenance time. To further aid in maintenance, replacement counters indicate when lamps and filters require changing.

The latest in LCD technology allows the LV-8227A to be small, light and portable, while still giving you the option to utilize it as an installed unit. Convenience and ease of use were among the main goals of Canon's designers when they created the LV-8227A, in order to allow you to concentrate on the presentation and your audience rather than projector operation. Direct Power On/Off
The direct power on/off feature of the LV-8227A allows for more flexible installation on ceilings or walls. It will automatically turn on the projector when the power cord is plugged into an outlet and off when the plug is removed. There is no need to press the power button on the projector, which might be difficult in certain installation situations. Auto Setup Function
Setting up the LV-8227A is both quick and easy with the Auto Setup function. Through a single button you can set Auto Input, Auto PC and Auto Keystone correction. With the projector placed on a flat surface, the engagement of Auto Setup will employ sensors which will detect the tilt of the projector in relation to the screen, automatically correcting for any keystone distortion — up to +/- 20 degrees vertically. Of course, keystone correction can be adjusted manually as well up to +/- 30 degrees. Control Panel
Easy to use and clear controls for volume and menu mean that the focus of a presenter will be on the presentation, not on running the projector. The LV-8227A makes it simple to switch between input sources at the touch of a button. For added convenience, the wireless IR remote control can be used. Tab-Style Menu
The clear navigation interface of the LV-8227A's on-screen menu is easy to use. For added convenience, choose from 20 languages for the menu display. Available are English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, Kazakh, Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Thai. Built-in 10W Speaker
Even if you don't have an external sound system to use, the 10W high output speaker of the LV-8227A delivers clear, well produced sound for venues of varying sizes, faithfully reproducing music or voice in a rich and vibrant manner.

Give your audience the silent treatment with the quietness of the LV-8227A. In Normal Mode the projector runs at 36.4dB and drops to 29dB in Eco Mode, allowing all ears to be on the presentation.
Closed Captioning Closed Captioning
When you are presenting to a hearing impaired audience or find yourself in a venue with a high level of ambient noise, the LV-8227A can deliver closed captioning to make any difficult to understand dialogue perfectly clear.

Canon USA Projector and Lamp Limited Warranty
The LV-8227A projector is backed by Canon USA's Projector and Lamp Limited Warranty, which guarantees that it will be free from defects in workmanship and materials for 3 years from the date of original purchase, and the lamp for 120 days from the date of original purchase. Projector Protection Program
Canon's Projector Protection Program (Triple P) is a FREE service program that provides a loaner projector of equal or greater value in the event that a qualifying unit is in need of repair. Triple P is available on all Canon projector models.
