Overview
The auto tracking paid add-on application enables automatic tracking according to a subject’s movements. As the subject moves, the camera will pan, tilt, and zoom to maintain the subject’s composition in the frame. The use of Canon’s advanced drive mechanism, advanced auto focus systems, and internal image analysis and camera, provides exceptional tracking performance with smooth camera movement. This added function helps to reduce the camera operator’s workload, letting them focus on other tasks such as camera switching and streaming, and allows for multi-camera shoots with fewer people on set.

The auto tracking is highly responsive, allowing for full body, upper body, and head and torso tracking at both slow and normal walking speeds, and full body and upper body tracking at fast walking speed. In addition, the auto tracking application provides users with a wide range of adjustment functions such as composition, tracking sensitivity, priority display area, fixed viewing angle area, tracking target auto select, pan/tilt halting area, initial position, auto select exclusion, and pan/tilt operation control.
The new auto tracking add-on application is ideal for end-users in markets such as house of worship and corporate event streaming, educational workshops and lectures, and broadcast and corporate interviews.
COMPATIBLE CAMERAS:
• CR-N700
• CR-N500
• CR-N300
• CR-N100
Large Range of Adjustments Available
Tracking Subject Size
The size for display of the tracking subject can be set to five different levels. The larger the number, the larger the subject will be in the frame.

Tracking Target Display Position
Allows for the configuration of where the person will be displayed in the frame.

Auto Zoom
Enabling this feature will enable the camera to automatically zoom in and out to maintain the composition of the subject in the frame.

Tracking Sensitivity
The tracking sensitivity for the tracking target can be set in 10 levels. As the sensitivity setting value increases, the PTZ operation becomes more agile and reacts quicker to the movement of the subject.

Priority Display Area
Items such as projection screens and white boards can be set as the priority zone. This ensures that the item is always in the field of view of the camera, and not follow the tracked subject outside of the field of view of the priority zone.

Fixed Angle of View
While the tracked subject is within a defined area, the tracking is disabled, and the view is fixed to a set angle. This way, when the subject is explaining something on a screen or blackboard, the camera does not change the angle of view with the subject’s movement, and instead clearly shows the area being explained.

Automatic Tracking Target Selection
Define area where you want the camera to detect and begin tracking subjects.

Pan/Tilt Halting Area
Defined areas that reduce fine-tuned Pan/Tilt movement to ensure a clear image.

Initial Position
An initial position can be defined that the camera can return to after a configured amount of time if the subject moves out of the defined tracking area or the camera loses track of the subject.

Auto Select Exclude Area
Allows for users to define areas that they don’t want to initiate tracking. This ensures that the intended subject is tracked and eliminates tracking on subjects such as audience members and students.

Pan/Tilt Movement Restrictions
User can configure how far (left/right, up/down) the camera will tracking subjects. This allows uses the camera only track subjects in desired areas, such as stages or front of classrooms.

Fixed Tilt Control
Users can configure the auto tracking to lock the tilt angle to eliminate the camera from moving up/down.

Auto Tracking Lite
The cameras come with a free version of the Auto Tracking Application, called Auto Tracking Lite. This free version provides smooth and precise auto tracking experience with a basic auto tracking configuration. For those users who require more advanced tracking customization, upgrading to the paid version of the auto tracking software is quick and easy.
