Generation Green is Canon’s environmental initiative that aims to reduce the environmental burdens in all stages of a product's lifecycle. This program encompasses eligible Canon scanners, PIXMA inkjet printers, imageCLASS laser printers, copiers, calculators, imageFORMULA scanners, imagePROGRAF Large Format Printers, imageRUNNERs, Color imageRUNNERs, imageRUNNER LBP, and imageRUNNER ADVANCE. Generation Green is designed to provide business partners, customers and consumers a way to identify and learn about the various green products and solutions Canon offers; for example, possible cost savings through energy efficiency. We will continue to create products that are considerate to people and the global environment.
In connection with its continued sponsorship of the Arbor Day Foundation, Canon will help contribute to the planting of one tree for every eligible imageRUNNER ADVANCE multifunction system sold from April 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013, up to a maximum of 50,000 trees. Canon's goal is to donate up to 50,000 trees to the Arbor Day Foundation this year to aid reforestation initiatives across the United States and rebuild damaged forest areas.
The Canon Forest Program was created in 2009 to aid reforestation initiatives across the United States and rebuild forest areas that are in desperate need of regrowth. To date, more than 200,000 trees have been planted in locations such as Florida’s John Bethea State Forest and Blackwater State Forest, South Carolina’s Manchester State Forest, and Wisconsin’s Bayfield County Forest.
Canon and Arbor Day will recognize customers who participate in this program by providing a certificate of appreciation for their purchase and acknowledgement of trees planted in their honor. To request a certificate, contact your authorized Canon Dealers.
In addition, a landing page has been created on the Canon USA’s Home Page to track our progress towards reaching our goal of 50,000 trees. To access this site visit www.usa.canon.com/forestprogram.
