Base Pay: Canon offers a base salary that is competitive and reflects the level of your knowledge, skills and contribution to the business. Our salaries are performance-based and designed to attract and retain the best talent.
Variable pay: Employees are recognized for strong performance through various incentive programs, which vary by level and position. Company performance is also an integral component of all of our variable pay programs.
Canon provides paid time off in the form of:
- Personal days
- Sick days
Medical: Canon offers the choice between three (3) Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans with varying levels of reimbursement, deductibles, coinsurances and/or copayments. California employees have an HMO option in addition to these PPO plans. Employees in Hawaii are offered a state-approved HMO plan.
Dental: Canon offers a comprehensive dental PPO.
Vision: Canon offers coverage for eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses for all employees and their family members covered under any PPO medical plan.
Tax-Advantaged Accounts: Canon employees have the opportunity to direct a portion of their salary on a pre-tax basis towards accounts to pay for certain health care and/or dependent care expenses. These plans include health care flexible spending account (FSA), a combination FSA, a dependent care FSA and a health savings account (HSA).
Life Insurance: Employees are provided with company-paid Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. They also have the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for themselves, their spouses and their children.
Disability: Canon offers short-term and long-term disability benefits to protect employees while they cannot work due to a non-work-related injury or illness.
Voluntary Benefit Plans:
- Accident Insurance - Protection from unexpected financial stress if an employee or a covered family member has an accident.
- Critical Illness Insurance - A supplemental plan that provides a lump-sum cash payment upon diagnosis of certain illnesses, such as heart attack, cancer or stroke.
Personal Health Consultant: Through Canon’s PPO medical plans, employees and their families are eligible to consult with a dedicated nurse, known as a personal health consultant, who can help with medical-related issues. Examples include chronic conditions, surgery preparation, and weight loss.
Telehealth: Through our PPO medical plans, telehealth allows employees to speak to a doctor via audio or video call through their mobile device or webcam 24/7.
Wellness Program: Canon offers various programs to provide employees with the tools to live a healthy life, such as health assessments, walking programs, smoking cessation programs, and stress management programs.
Employee Assistance Programs: Employees and their family members are eligible for confidential counseling and referral services to help them deal with life’s problems. Services range from mental health and substance abuse counseling, to child care referrals, legal assistance, identity theft protection, and financial planning.
Educational Assistance: Canon supports employees who wish to further their education in pursuit of professional goals. At Canon, employees are eligible to receive reimbursement on a portion of tuition depending upon the grade they receive, up to an annual maximum dollar amount.
Adoption Assistance: Canon supports all employees in their efforts to balance the demands of the workplace, their personal needs, and the needs of their families. In that spirit, the Canon Adoption Assistance Program provides financial benefits to employees who are building their family through adoption.
Commuter Benefits: Canon employees are able to pay for certain commuting costs on a pre-tax basis.
Canon offers a 401(k) plan where employees can save for retirement via pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, a percentage of which are matched by Canon. They may also receive discretionary profit sharing contributions.
Financial Wellness programs are available to help employees learn to manage everyday expenses, such as saving for retirement, managing a household budget or paying college tuition.
Financial Planning is available to all participants and is free for individuals 55 years or older.
Corporate Discounts: This program offers discounted Canon products, entertainment, electronics, wireless, and travel.
Employee Referral Program: Canon believes that its employees are an excellent source for identifying candidates for employment opportunities within the Company. The Employee Referral Program encourages Canon employees to recommend qualified friends and acquaintances for full-time job openings and provides employees with referral payments if the individuals they recommend are hired successfully.
