1. Eliminating hazardous substances

Canon toner products meets the RoHS Directive in the European Union (EU), even though toner products are out of scope in the RoHS Directive. This indicates that Canon copier toner and packages eliminate hazardous substances (eg., Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, PBBs & PBDEs). In fact, Canon copier output is free of these hazardous materials. 

 

2. Recycle consumables

Canon reduces waste through its recycling program for toner cartridges. This recycling process produces plastics, metals, and reconditioned parts that can be used in the manufacturing of new cartridges and other products.
