"I struggled with the artist-limits mentality for years. Then I felt business would consume me. I realized in that moment it is neither the artist or the business, but the ability to serve. I understand the power and value of what I create and it is the most joyful time of career."

ABOUT SUE

With 26 years of experience, Sue Bryce is one of the most recognizable photographers in the imaging industry. Her glamour, fashion and portrait style transcend past stereotypes and has changed the face of portrait photography.

After becoming the most watched instructor on CreativeLive, Sue created her own groundbreaking educational platform, in which she uses her signature techniques to educate photographers and empower businesses internationally. Sue's powerful education has singlehandedly helped photography businesses grow all over the world, and she is known for her unwavering support for her students.

Sue's passion for photographing ALL women is evident in her remarkable body of work and education. Sue teaches photographers - not only the skills they need to create beautiful portraits - but also (the sometimes bigger challenge) of helping photographers and other creatives learn to value themselves and their work; creating legacy through their printed images.

Sue was awarded the WPPI International 2014 Grand Award, Australian Portrait Photographer of the Year 2011 & 2012, and Fellow II National Awards Photographer of the Year 2007, among others.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Sue now lives and works in Los Angeles, and was greatly honored to be asked to participate in the Explorers of Light program.

"I built my business with a Canon camera, Canon has been a huge part of my career journey. When people ask me how do I stay in love with photography, I say, 'I have spent over half my life immersed in this world, I still feel an undeniable passion for seeing someone and making a portrait for them.'" ~Sue Bryce
