There was an error in the country of origin displayed on the packaging of the optional Battery Pack BP-308 for use with the Canon OPTURA 600 digital video camcorder. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused our customers. Canon is taking steps to prevent a similar problem from occurring in the future. Details
This BP-308 battery pack is manufactured in the People's Republic of China, and the country of origin is correctly displayed on the battery pack itself. However, the country of origin shown on the packaging for the BP-308 battery packs that are sold separately is mistakenly listed as Japan.
Please note that this error has no affect on the functioning of the BP-308 battery pack itself which was manufactured according to the quality standards for genuine Canon products.
