How to Connect Your Chromebook Notebook Computer to a Canon Compatible Printer

Wondering how you can you print from a Chromebook notebook computer? It’s easy, and just takes a few steps when using one of Canon’s compatible printers. To install a Canon printer on a Chromebook notebook computer, make sure your printer has ChromeOS Support (all three of the printers above do). Then follow the instructions below to set up your Canon printer on your Chromebook notebook computer:

Click the Status Tray in the bottom right corner of your Chromebook Shelf

Select Settings (gear icon) in the menu to open the Settings Menu.

Select Advanced, either from the side menu of the settings screen, or by scrolling to the bottom and clicking it.

Scroll to the Print and Scan section and click on Printers.

Click Set up on the printer you are adding to your Chromebook notebook computer.

After clicking Set up, you will see your printer added to the saved printers list.

Connect the USB cable to the printer port and to a USB port on your Chromebook notebook computer.

Turn on the printer.

Your Chromebook notebook computer will automatically detect the printer.

Click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the status area.

Click Advanced.

Scroll down to the Print and Scan section and click Printers.

Click Add a printer.

Select your printer from the list and click Add.
