Firmware Notice: EOS Rebel T2i: Firmware Announcement 1.0.9

Canon has released a firmware update for the EOS Rebel T2i digital SLR camera.

Enhancement
Firmware Version 1.0.9 incorporates the following fixes.

  1. Fixes a phenomenon in which tone jumps become noticeable in some images, depending on the shooting scene, when shooting with the Auto Lighting Optimizer settings (Low/Standard/Strong).

Firmware
The new firmware (Version 1.0.9) is now available for download from the following URL: http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/firm-e/eosdigital7/firmware.html

The Version 1.0.9 firmware is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.0.8. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.9, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
