Service Notice: Regarding scanner not recognized errors for the imageFORMULA P-215II

Concerning the “imageFORMULA P-215II” mobile document scanner, the following potential issue has been identified. Details and our customer support measure are described below.

We would like to offer our sincere apologies to users who may have been inconvenienced by this issue. We take our quality management seriously and strive to make sure our customers can use our products with confidence.

Issue
Some units were shipped with a faulty USB cable. As a result, the scanner will not be recognized and will not turn on when it is connected to a PC with that USB cable.

Affected Product
Affected mobile document scanner “imageFORMULA P-215II” units that experience the issue described above have serial numbers within the range below:

GY3C5661 – GY3C6505


Support

For any unit that is within the scope of the affected units and experiences this issue, Canon will replace the faulty USB cable free of charge.
