To contribute to the goal of zero landfill waste, Canon created a collection and recycling program for Canon large format ink and toner cartridges.

WHY RECYCLE MY INK CARTRIDGE?

Reduce Landfill Waste

Ink and toner cartridges are made mainly of plastic material making them suitable for local recycling and local energy recovery in many areas of the country. When local recycling is utilized, the environmental impact associated with the transportation of the cartridges is reduced.

How to find your ink cartridge model number

The ink cartridge model number can be found on the ink cartridge itself. All ink cartridges for Canon imagePROGRAF Large Format Printers start with “PFI-” followed by the specific model number and color abbreviation.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Remove your ink/toner cartridge from the device.

If local recycling or energy recovery is not available in your area, Canon asks that customers ship them to the address below at their expense. Both cartridges and containers can be shipped together.

Canon Virginia, Inc.

Attn: LFP Ink Tank Recycling
