Firmware Version 1.1.0 incorporates the following enhancement:
When shooting a movie with the EF-M 28mm F3.5 IS STM lens attached, the autofocus speed is faster than when using Firmware Version 1.1.0.
Firmware Version 1.1.0 is for cameras equipped with Firmware Version 1.0.0. If the camera’s firmware is already Version 1.1.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
Preparations for the Firmware update:
In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (file name for EOS M10: EOS_M10_110.FI2 / file size: 11,309,848 bytes), and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.
