Overview

MREAL Collaborator is an XR application that allows multipleFootnote2 people to share the same 3DCG in life-size using compatible VR/MR headsets. In manufacturing applications, it supports problem discovery during design reviews and structural understanding. It can also be used for idea sharing, presentations, training, and creative activities.

Based on Canon's years of accumulated XR expertise and feedback from the field, we have carefully selected essential functions for design reviews. With simple and intuitive operations, virtually anyone can use the application with ease. By utilizing the existing tree structure of 3DCAD files, modifying structures and switching displays is easy.

3D Data Import

Supports the import of compatible FBX files.

Tree Structure Editing

The tree structure of the 3DCAD data is preserved as-is, allowing for easy editing at the individual node level. You can optimize the tree structure to best suit your specific application or needs.

Move/Rotate Show/Hide

Position adjustment and toggling between Show/Hide can be done intuitively at the individual node level. You can freely set the range of motion and rotation axes, allowing you to simulate movements just as they would occur in the real world.

Multi-Person Collaboration

Even if users are in remote locations or using different types of compatible headsets, multiple* people can share and interact with the same 3DCG via a network. Note: Supported devices outlined below.

Target Setting

By attaching markers to real-world objects, you can link them to corresponding 3DCG models. This allows you to provide a sense of touch and weight to the CG (Force Feedback). Note: Supported on MREAL X1 and S1 devices only.
