Canon Named a Leader in Sustainability Programs and Services
Canon has been recognized as a "Leader" in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Sustainability Programs and Services Hardcopy 2026 Vendor Assessment. This is the second time Canon has received this recognition, following the first such assessment in 2023. The study evaluated 11 worldwide printer and copier vendors, assessing their capabilities and strategies.
EcoVadis Platinum Award
Canon Inc. was awarded the Platinum rating for its sustainability efforts by France-based global sustainability ratings organization EcoVadis. The award places the Canon Group within the top 1% of companies assessed globally. Since 2015, the Canon Group has attained seven Gold Ratings. Canon received a Platinum rating in 2025 due to its unwavering dedication to sustainable practices.
EPEAT® Gold Registered Products
The entire imageFORCE and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX line-up is registered EPEAT® Gold. An imaging device must meet an extensive list of environmental performance criteria before it can be listed on the EPEAT® registry. Some of these criteria are the absence of toxic substances, use of recycled and recyclable materials, design for recycling, product longevity, energy efficiency, corporate performance and packaging.
ECO-FRIENDLY FEATURES
Low Power Usage in Sleep Mode
imageFORCE and several imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX models consume less than one watt of energy in sleep mode, contributing to energy efficiency and sustainability efforts.
Lower Melting Toner
A combination of fusing technologies and lower-melting-point toner minimizes power requirements and helps achieve low energy consumption.
Packaging
Canon has made the transition to interior cardboard packaging on imageFORCE and select imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX models.
Drum Cover Manufactured with Regrind Plastic
Drum covers on the imageFORCE and select imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX models are constructed of regrind plastic, helping to lower environmental impact.
